Denver / Lincolnton, NC – With the dinner theatre performance at WoodMill Winery fast approaching, don’t miss your chance to see The Actor’s Nightmare and The Missing Lincs, the Guild’s first ever traveling improvisation troupe on January 10th and 11th at the WoodMill Winery, 1350 WoodMill Winery Lane, Vale.   These two evening dates have been reserved at the winery for two unique performances.  With only a few tickets remaining it is important to purchase your tickets now, before they sell out.  Tickets for the dinner theatre are $45.00 per person, which includes wine tasting of the WoodMill Winery’s newest harvest at 6:30 p.m., dinner buffet at 7:00 p.m. and performance at 7:30 p.m. with dessert being served at intermission.

Directed by Chris Goodson, “The Actor’s Nightmare” is a laugh-out-loud comedy about George, an innocent bystander, who wandered onto an empty stage, uncertain of who he is and what he is doing there.  The stage manager informs him he must replace Eddie, and the show must go on.  George doesn’t know who he is and has no idea about being an actor, let alone know the lines for the play he is about to perform.  As George is pushed onstage dressed as Hamlet, he does his best to guess the lines and cues.  In the closing moments of the play, he rises to the occasion and finally produces the right lines, whereupon make-believe gives way to reality.  You will only know the ending if you attend the performance.

Opening the evening will be the debut of “The Missing Lincs,” the exclusive improvisation troupe.  This exciting new addition to the Lincolnton Theatre Guild is another way the Guild is fulfilling its mission to bring live performing arts and entertainment into the community.  Those in attendance at the dinner theatre will be the FIRST to see this troupe of talented and impulsively inspired individuals in action.  More details will unfold as this improv troupe takes shape for entertainment on the stage and at various venues around the county and beyond.
